Columbia Engineering hosted its Columbia Venture Competition Finals.
InstaLabel, founded by Ayman Talkani, 2023 M.S. Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Aadil Mehdi, 2023 M.S. Computer Science took first place and $25,000 in funding. InstaLabel novel customizable data-annotator to train any AI-model.
Dumpling AI (Goji Health), founded by Jessica Shi, Sarah Gu, Manasi Soman, Theodore Chow of 2024 Columbia Engineering and Columbia College placed in second, winning $15,000 in funding. Dumpling AI develops automated, product-contextualized documentation for engineers.
Brekland, founded by Philip Brudnicki and Eric Bellefroid creates climate resilience solution for farmers combating frost, taking third place and a funding of $10,000.
CIPER, founded by Sean Kim, Annabel Cho, Leonhard Heinrich of 2024 Columbia Engineering automates IV push to reduce administration errors. Ciper won the Engineering for Humanity award, given to entrepreneurs that demonstrate a passion for creating impact through their business.
