Fast Pitch is Columbia Engineering’s campus-wide annual elevator pitch competition where teams have 60 seconds to sell their business ideas to a panel of judges to win up to $5,000 for your idea.
Your elevator pitch could be the most important words that describe your business. If you are not able to hook your investors, partners, or customers within the first minute, then you have likely lost them forever. The Fast Pitch competition will help your team improve your marketing, sales, and promotional capabilities. Teams are judged on their appeal, conciseness, and completeness.
Attendance and participation is free. As for the experience, it’s priceless!

Step 1: Refine your idea at the Design Studio Open Collaboration Time or MakerSpace Open Hours
Step 2: Find a friend/collaborator
Step 3: Videotape your pitch and submit by (November 1, 11:59PM)
Step 4: Get some feedback
Step 5: Improve your pitch
Step 6: Practice
Step 7: Make sure you invite your friends, there is an audience choice award!
Step 8: Pitch it! (November 21, 5:30PM)
