Jim Reda

 

 

James Reda is founder and managing director of James F. Reda & Associates, a premier provider of independent compensation consulting to boards of directors and top-level management. Prior to starting his own firm, Reda worked at three large executive compensation consulting firms, serving as advisor to the top management and boards of major national and international corporations in matters of executive compensation, performance, organization and corporate governance.

Reda is a recognized authority on corporate governance and testified before Congress in December 2007 on the issues relating to executive compensation. He is the author of multiple articles and two books on executive compensation, Pay to Win: How America’s Successful Companies Pay Their Executives (Harcourt 2000), and The Compensation Committee Handbook (John Wiley, 2001, 2004, 2007), which will be released in its fourth edition in 2012.

Reda earned a BS in industrial engineering from Columbia and a SM in management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Sloan School of Management.
