Jacob Nye

Program Assistant

Jacob Nye is a Columbia biomedical engineering master’s student interested in entrepreneurship, medicine, and the two’s intersection with machine learning-enabled technology. He recently cofounded Colonai, a startup that’s using artificial intelligence as a second set of eyes to help doctors detect and remove precancerous tumors during colorectal cancer screening (colonoscopies). As a co-founder, Jacob builds Colonai’s tumor detection and removal-assistance algorithms. Outside of working at the Columbia Engineering Entrepreneurship Office, Jacob enjoys contributing to the Maker Space as a superuser and skiing the East in his 5th year as a member of the ski club.
