Imran Shah is a co-founder of IBB Consulting Group, the leading boutique consulting firm serving broadband-related product and service providers in cable, mobile and media industries. Shah is responsible for IBB's strategy and vision, major client relationships and key engagements.
An acclaimed specialist and thought leader in convergence strategies, technologies and operations, Shah has worked with top companies such as AT&T, Cablevision, Comcast, Microsoft, Motorola and Time Warner Cable to lead transformative initiatives in the broadband industry. These initiatives include some of the largest and most complex merger-integrations in the cable industry, designing and rolling out new products, launching new lines of business, developing enterprise-wide operating models, and harmonizing end-to-end operating environments to enhance velocity of innovation and efficiencies.
In addition to his success as a consultant and industry advisor, Shah holds 15 patents and has been published numerous times. He was a recipient of the 2009 “Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business” award from the Asian American Business Development Center, and received the 2007 “Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year” award in IT Consulting. Also, under his leadership, IBB was named one of Consulting Magazine’s “Best Small Companies to Work For” in 2010 and 2011, was recognized in 2008 by Inc. 5000 as one of the fastest growing private companies in the United States, and was ranked #1 in Consulting Magazine's Seven Small Jewels of Consulting in 2007.
Shah earned a BS, MS, and PhD in electrical engineering from Columbia.
